LUCRA x NEXT-STEP at Renewable Materials 2026 Workshop: bringing the bio-based textile ecosystem together
The joint LUCRA and NEXT-STEP CBE workshop at Renewable Materials 2026 brought together participants from across the ecosystem to explore what a circular textile supply chain could look like in practice—with value creation and fair distribution at the heart of the discussion.
A big thank you to all our speakers for sharing their inspiring work, expertises and perspectives:
- René Bethmann (VAUDE)
- Nuccio Ludovico (Sapienza Università di Roma)
- Estela Lopez-Hermoso (Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC))
- Tom Claessen (Circular Plastics NL)
- Kristel de Ridder (Mevaldi)
- Tanja Meyer (Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant—BBEPP)
Many thanks to everyone who joined us and contributed experiences, questions and ideas. Your input made the exchange both practical and inspiring. Finally, many thanks to the LUCRA team for a successful first collaboration. We look forward to continuing the conversation and working together to advance competitive, circular and bio-based textile solutions.
